Cinematic Arts Starts Here
ABOUT
A Bit of Background
The purpose of M.F.A.C.T. is to provide the tools and training needed for potential film and television crew members of color and production personnel to thrive in the film and television community, by bringing in industry professionals. This two week course will provide course materials, instructors who are currently operating in the industry under each specific discipline, and on the job training in producing a small budget project at the end of the course.

WHY
To aid in closing the wealth gap for people of color in the city of Memphis by providing the tools to gain experience that will lead to higher paying entry level jobs in film. Nation Wide, there is a shortage of POC in key positions on film productions. The 2020 Diversity Report, written by Dr. Darnell Hunt and Dr. Ana-Christina Ramón, found that both women and people of color have made strides in five key films roles: leads, directors, writers, total actors, and studio heads. Yet, in each area, they are still the minority.
For me, with me, making a film is always about humanity.
